The start of the 32M and 18M race distances is located 40 Miles from Dayton at Dry Fork Aid Station. The start of the 52M race distance is located 60 Miles from Dayton at Jaws Trailhead. The race provides bus transportation for participants for a small fee ($15). The race does not provide transportation to retrieve cars from the start. 100M participants: your start is located just 3.5 miles from Scott Park in Dayton where you can park outside of the park area and ride a free bus to start. Scott Park is also the Finish Line where parking is available outside of the Park itself. Buses are available to take you to the 100M start at no fee from Scott Park, or parking will be available near the 100M start on Tongue Canyon Rd. with shuttles provided to get you the rest of the way, or take the short walk from where you can park to the start of the 100m; ONLY RACE STAFF MAY PARK CLOSE TO THE START. The road becomes very congested the morning of the start and can make if extremely difficult for the buses and shuttles to drop off runners and their crews and families, PLEASE adhere to the "parking on one side of the road only" rule and do not try to drive all of the way to the start. You will create traffic jams and difficulties and may cause you (as a runner) or your runner to be disqualified for not following these rules.
For 52M & 32M participants: there are also shuttles available from 2 hotels in Sheridan: the Ramada Inn and the Best Western Sheridan Center. Bus tickets for these shuttles can be purchased during Packet Pick-Up on Thursday and Friday each year of the race. Shuttle pick-up times are announced each year on the Event Schedule.
If you wish to drive to your start, click the link below for specific directions to each. Please bear in mind, we do not provide transportation to retrieve your car from the start.
